Mission & Values
Building safety gear that works for more people.
Our Mission
CrownFit’s mission is to make safety gear more inclusive by improving comfort and wearability for adults and children.
CrownFit was born from lived experience.
As a white woman raising black daughters through adoption, our family quickly learned how often everyday products overlook hair diversity and representation. When my girls were heading to skateboarding camp with freshly braided hair, we wanted a way for them to stay safe, protect their hair, and feel like they belonged in a sport where they are rarely represented.
Our family also includes neurodivergent members with sensory sensitivities, reinforcing how important comfort, predictability, and inclusion truly are. CrownFit exists to make safety gear work better for more people, because representation and comfort matter.

Our Values
-
Products should work for people with different hair types, sensory needs, and lived experiences. Design should reflect the diversity of the people who use it.
-
When safety gear is comfortable, people are more likely to wear it consistently. Comfort helps turn safety from a struggle into a habit.
-
Many everyday products are designed with a narrow set of users in mind. CrownFit believes thoughtful design should account for real hair, real sensitivities, and real daily experiences.
-
When gear fits well, feels better, and respects the user, people are more likely to use it. Better design leads to better safety outcomes.
CrownFit was created to make safety gear more inclusive.
When helmets feel better, people are more likely to wear them — and that’s better for everyone.
